THE HERMITAGE OF THE SAINT CHRIST

It is of neogothic style and its current building dates back to the early 20th century. It is a work by the architect Timoteo Briet.

On the way to this hermitage you can find the Via Crucis. Every Lent’s Friday this religious practice takes place, then a seasonal mass is celebrated in the hermitage.

This hermitage has a great importance during the Easter Week, when various masses are held in it and then on April 25, the last day of the festival of Moors and Christians, people have breakfast there and the next year’s representatives of each comparsa are given the bumps.
