Banyeres de Mariola municipal district still conserves the festivities and cultural traditions of its ancestors.

The most important festivity celebrated in our village is the Moors and Christians in honour of the patron “Sant Jordi”, it is declared of National Tourist Interest and it takes place between April the 22nd and 25th. The first weekend of the month of September, we celebrate the arrival of Saint’s George relic in the population. We relive the magic of the festivity of Moors and Christians. In July we celebrate the festivity in honour of the patron Saint Mary Magdalene. Every weekend different cultural, religious and festive activities like: concerts, processions, “correfocs” (fire show) and a medieval market are celebrated.

At the end of the year, the weekend closest to the 13th of December, we celebrate the festivity of Saint Lucy, patron of the paper industry (one of the most important traditional industries of the village).

Moreover there are other street festivities that have a great importance in the municipality. We invite you to discover all of them.
