Banyeres de Mariola municipal district it is made up by a quite rugged terrain in its western, northern and southern parts, since even its town centre is set on a buttress belonging to the Sierra Mariola mountain range, which is 818 metres high. Within its municipal district stand out El Alt de la Barcella (1210 m), La Penya la Blasca (1119 m), Les Talaies (1045 m) and El Capollet de l’Àguila (959 m). The western and central area has a more smooth and plain relief which constitutes a natural passing way already used since time before.

In its boundaries there are lots of natural fountains and springs. It is crossed east-west by the Vinalopó river and its tributaries, the ravines Barranco dels Pinarets, Marjal and Barranco d’Ull de Canals…

Its flora and vegetation offer a large variety of species consisting of wide stone pine forests mixed with kermes oaks, oak trees, ash trees…The ground vegetation includes a great quantity of species such as rosemary, lavender, thyme,…

In its district it has a lot of routes and paths, like PR-CV4 or PR-CV313, moreover there are other routes like the Green Way of “Xitxarra” train, and the Mills Route with all of them the visitors could see our fantastic landscape.

It has a Mediterranean climate but with continental influences, with cold winters and warm summers.
